Abstract

This paper examined the role of preserving traditional fishing village culture in developing attractive and distinctive tourism products in the South Central coastal region of Vietnam. The conservation of traditional livelihoods, such as fishing and handicrafts, along with unique cultural rituals, is a key factor in promoting sustainable tourism. However, these cultural values are currently threatened by rapid tourism development and environmental changes. The paper proposed solutions for safeguarding cultural heritage in connection with community - based tourism models, aiming to ensure sustainability and enhance the value of tourism in coastal fishing villages.
