Abstract

Thanh Hoa province, especially its mountainous regions, possesses diverse and rich cultural traditions with distinctive values. Beyond majestic landscapes, the area is home to many traditional craft villages tied to the livelihoods of ethnic minorities. Developing sustainable tourism in tandem with conserving and promoting the cultural values of these villages has become a key strategy for regional socio-economic development. This study analyzes sustainable tourism development in mountainous Thanh Hóa, clarifies the role of traditional-village management in safeguarding and enhancing local cultural values, identifies management and development challenges, and proposes solutions aimed at sustainable tourism, improved quality of life, and protection of traditional crafts.
