Abstract

The potential and development solutions for the MICE tourism industry in Vietnam are not new topics. It has been studied and decoded in a number of articles, works or appeared sporadically on many websites and electronic newspapers in recent years. The article only mentions and provides information and explanations from Chinese scholars through two points of view: The shortcomings and limitations of Chinese tourism in the initial period of reception and adaptation to MICE tourism and the MICE development strategy of the government and the Singapore Tourism Board when turning the "Lion Island" into the "capital of international conferences and exhibitions". From there, some lessons learned are drawn for the development plan of the MICE tourism industry in Vietnam.
