Abstract

Using language games in teaching brings useful effects to foreign language classes, especially in teaching language practice skills. Properly designed games not only create meaningful contexts but also motivate and enhance learners' cooperation. The paper presented some language games commonly used in teaching foreign languages and proposed some solutions to effectively use these language games in teaching Reading comprehension to the first year students of English language at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
