FOLK MUSIC EXPRESSED AMONG VIETNAMESE FESTIVALS IN THANH HOA

Abstract

Understanding the significance of music contributed to creating the festival's appearance, explaining the operating rules and basic characteristics of music. Some discussions were given to preserve and promote music in festivals to achieve greater effectiveness in life. The research results present observations about the culture and music that make up the overall festival, including: (1) The meaning of organizing the festival; (2) Space and time of the festival; (3) Music genres and performances in the festival; (4) Musical characteristics. The article created a foundation to address the issues of researching, preserving and promoting folk music in more comprehensive aspects.
