THE IMAGE OF DRAGON IN VIETNAMESE CULTURE

Abstract

Dragon is a special image with an important position in the culture and beliefs of the Vietnamese people. In the bustling sounds of heaven and earth celebrating the Year of the Dragon, with the image of the dragon flying across the sky, everyone joyfully looks forward to the hope of a new future. The coming spring seems to prompt the mind to go back to the past to find the ancient origin of the Dragon. In the minds of Vietnamese people, the image of the dragon is always a sacred symbol. Therefore, paper discusses some features of the dragon concept in Vietnamese culture.
