RIGHTS OF CULTURAL SUBJECTS AND THE CONSERVATION OF HERITAGES IN BAU TRUC CRAFT VILLAGE, NINH THUAN

Abstract

This article, from studying the current status of pottery making in Bau Truc (a long -standing craft village in Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Thuan province today), argues that there there is  the existence of different perspectives in dealing with cultural heritage from the people and this is something that needs attention because it has related to the issue of subjects' rights to cultural heritage. By pointing out the multi - faceted situation of the pottery profession in Bau Truc village - related to the development of “traditional” and “non -traditional” pottery - after the profession was registered, the author of this article clarifies the multi - dimensional picture of this famous craft village by focusing on the perspective of “insiders” and from there make recommendations.
