ABOUT TRANSCRIBING MUSIC WORKS FOR CLASSICAL GUITAR

Abstract

Transcribing musical works is a very popular form of artistic creativity in musical life, playing an important role in the field of performance and enriching the basic technical foundations for the training of musical instrument performance. There are always two forms of works written for classical guitar: (1) Works originally written for guitar by professional authors. (2) Works transcribed for guitar from instrumental works, famous songs, folk melodies... In this paper, we presents some thoughts about transcribing musical works for classical guitar in current teaching and performance in Vietnam.
