Abstract

The renovation after 1986 has changed the literary life of Vietnam in terms of artistic thinking, views on morality, aesthetics, human life and writing style. The new reality of life with many complex and vivid changes has created a premise for novels written on Vietnamese rural themes in the early 21st century to increase dialogue. Characters can argue and respond to the writer and vice versa. Then, topics on the past, present, politics, philosophy, religion, culture, ethics... can be presented simultaneously in the same discussion, creating multi-faceted dialogues.
