ARTISTIC VALUES IN SONGS WRITTEN ABOUT THANH HOA

Abstract

Music of Thanh Hoa is popular with the tunes in the Ma River or the folk song “Eating by traditional lighting of the oil lamp, rice planting by the moon”, Xuan Pha music, the lullaby of the Muong people, the sound of the Thai people’s trumpet… All these things create a colorful music picture, in which the songs written about Thanh Hoa are the most prominent. In the process of formation and development for more than 50 years, thousands of songs about Thanh Hoa have been written, which leaves certain values and contributions to Vietnamese music in general, and Thanh Hoa music in particular. Those values have been contributing to educating young generation about love for the motherland, moral and aesthetics; promoting tourism; serving the renovation of the homeland.
