Abstract

As the two countries imbued with a long developed lacquer art background, with many outstanding achievements, Vietnam and Japan occupy a special position on the world map of lacquer. The initial clues of the Japanese-Vietnamese lacquer interference in the early twentieth century suggest a direction to study the compatibility and application of Japanese lacquer techniques in the process of creating lacquer paintings by traditional Vietnamese paint materials, bringing many new and unique shaping effects.
